EDITORIAL
It gives me immense pride to announce the return of the Edusure e-
magazine, now as a quarterly publication, following a brief hiatus after
May-June 2023 issue. This revival marks a new chapter in our commitment
to sharing the remarkable stories of innovation and dedication from our
schools across Telangana. The success stories featured in this edition are a
powerful testament to the fact that with vision and commitment, SCERT
acknowledges that every innovation comes with it pros and cons, Edusure
aims to reflect on these interventions which way a path to educational
excellence further our government schools can become centres of excellence.
A Tapestry of Teacher Triumphs
The story of Maram Pavithra, a National Best Teacher awardee,
resonates deeply. In her soliloquy, she speaks of a journey from humble
beginnings in a rural village to a national platform, guided by her mother’s resilience and her husband’s
unwavering support. She reminds us that a teacher is not merely a professional, but a “nation builder”
who cultivates curiosity, guards values, and guides the next generation. Her integration of joyful, game-
based learning and her use of technology to create resources for platforms like DIKSHA and her own
YouTube channel, “Pavithra’s Virtual Teaching Learning Material (VTLM)” have made her a model for
educators everywhere.
Our teachers are proving that a passion for education knows no bounds. Bompelly Bhavani,
honored as a State Best Teacher, has shown how a door-to-door campaign and personal investment can
revive a struggling school. By introducing English-medium pre-primary classes and improving
infrastructure with community support, she transformed her school from a modest institution to a thriving
hub of learning.
Its not only academic excellence that are seen in the field but the sports and games the story of
Md. Tasleem, a Physical Education Teacher, highlights the pivotal role in education not just training
athletes; he’s shaping disciplined, confident citizens, with many of his students going on to join the
Indian Army and Police Department. His success led to the village of Kurmedu being recognized as a
“Sports Village”.
Yet another academic excellence has been recorded from the remote place of state that the
success of Buka Gangaiah at MPPS Yapalguda from Adilabad is another shining example. His innovative
approach of guiding with pedagogical sensitivity and prudent class room process Class V students to
write and publish their own English short stories showcased in Hyderabad book fair, even when they
were first-generation learners, proves that with the right guidance, rural students can achieve great
things.
The spirit of innovation extends to school administration as well. ZPHS Dhoolimitta has pioneered
a low-cost, yet highly effective, with a smart move i.e. barcoded hall ticket system to instill discipline
and prevent copying during exams. This simple idea has created a shift in student mindset, encouraging
them to believe that “we will pass only if we study hard”.
Telangana to Tokyo: Global Recognition for Local Innovators
Our students’ creativity is also gaining international recognition. Through the INSPIRE MANAK
awards, young innovators from Telangana have been given the opportunity to showcase their excellence
on a global stage. The journey o f students from Telangana to Tokyo as part of the Sakura Science
Exchange Program is a significant achievement. These students, selected for their groundbreaking projects,
are representing our state and country, demonstrating that the future of science and technology is being
forged in our government schools. Their innovative ideas, from eco-friendly farming machines to devices
promoting menstrual hygiene, are not just concepts but real-world solutions that are a source of immense
pride.
We, as the Department of School Education, are committed to fostering this environment of
creativity and excellence. The success stories of our teachers and students are not just individual triumphs;
they are a collective achievement that underscores the immense potential of our educational system. We
must continue to support these efforts, encouraging every teacher to be an innovator and every student to
be a dreamer.
